About

After nine years of tactical field problems, overseas deployments, and prestigious assignments Daymond separated from the military as a non commissioned officer with numerous medals for exemplary accomplishments. He attended the NCO Academy in 2001; served tours in Bahrain (1998) and Kuwait (2000) (2003); and was awarded 2 Army Good Conduct Medals, 5 Army Achievement Medals, 3 Army Commendation Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Daymond  separated from the military in 2006 as a Sergeant. Shortly after, he enrolled into the University of Texas at El Paso where he studied biology, biochemistry, botany and other life sciences to earn a degree in Biological Science. However, Daymond often found himself imagining stories based of the curriculum which rekindle his childhood passion for screenwriting. So, from that moment on, he dedicated all his free time to learning the craft. He read ‘Screenplay’ by Syd Field, ‘The Hero’s Journey’ by Joseph Campbell, ‘The Poetics’ by Aristotle, and many other books on the subject. He also attended screenwriting workshops and listened to all the tutorials and podcasts he could find. But most importantly, Daymond wrote, all the time, for the sheer enjoyment of it, and to appropriate everything he learned. And for 10+ years now, Daymond continues to write screenplays, in all sorts of genres, of all sorts of lengths, and exploring all sorts of themes. Daymond also attended Full Sail University and earned a Master of Science in Entertainment Business.
